Is Dove Building Company licensed?

Yes. We are licensed by the State of North Carolina. NC License #50469.

Does Dove Building Company have insurance?

Absolutely. We have a comprehensive insurance policy which includes Workman's Comp. Insurance and Liability Insurance.We advise all homeowners to require both Workman's Comp. and Liability Insurance. Ask the contractor for proof of insurance; otherwise, you may not be protected.

Do we need permits?

In most cases, yes.

How long does it take to issue a permit?

It depends on the type of project. The usual time-frame is 3 days to 2 weeks. This can depend on the city. Anticipated permitting time-frame can be discussed at our initial meeting.

How much will it cost?

Budgets are always a top concern for our customers. Several factors influence the cost of your renovation or custom home. We will be happy to speak with you to discuss what a realistic budget would be for your particular project. We are also happy to suggest services or options that may reduce costs, if necessary. When do I pay?

Once the preliminary agreement is in place, we will draw up a payment schedule that matches the phases of the project. Payments will then be required in accordance with the agreement.
